from authorities here in las vegas coming up. authorities said they found 23 weapons in the hotel suite of the killer, we are getting first images of it. these are pictures from brent s daily mail along with what the paper says is the killer s body. another photo shows two weapons, case on the left with a modified stock that allows automatic rounds. to the right of the post, a hammer perhaps used to break the windows. two windows broken. one more foot looking to the left, more weaponry and furniture set up as some sort of a make-shift barricade. the hall walls marked with bullet holes. we have more now on all of the investigations from our senior correspondent drew griffin who joins us now.
they believe that, you know, they have a right to be out here and that it is their frustration that they are venting and that s why on a few occasions we ve had windows broken. the total for three days, more than 120 arrests here and as the traffic gets snarled here and as protests continue you ll see a little more of this throughout the day, bill. bill: two questions. the protestors you ve been in contact with over the weekend, are they mostly from st. louis or from the outside? and also give us a sense of how bad the damage is? well, we re marching now again so we ll stay on the move. i would tell you, bill, that from the second night there were 33 arrests and we did get a report from the police that all but two of 33 were pardon me, sir, i apologize. all but 2 of the 33.
windows broken and people in masks? a distinction that you make? look, the own distinction is the one you just said. bottom line, people are angry, frustrated, upset. and here s what i want to hear. i would love to hear police officers in st. louis say, this guy should have been convicted. this guy was carrying an unauthorized ak-47. this is not how we do business. okay. they don t do that, ali, because they protect each other, and so the problem which you have here is that police want to say, oh, you should condemn the protesters. and people who are committing acts of violence should be condemned but i m also condemning the same cops committing acts of violence but the good cops, ever worry about them? the answer is no. and roland, a quick turn on to a different topic. that is education secretary betsy devos had a summit this morning. at a summit. historically black colleges and universities. lynn to what she had to say.
it s gotten to a point where the officers want the people out of the neighborhood. there s been control on both sides. but you can see when the windows got broken down the way, we knew this would happen in terms of a heavy response. once the helicopter started lighting up the crowd, there were some people in the neighborhood who were part of the protestors who said they want today do more than what was going on between them and the police officers. that was the first time we heard that all evening. now we re at the point where you see the officers deployed a little gas, you have a few people standing in front of them. that s part of the conversation. the other time we had a flair when the police were trying to move their bus in. that is the larger flash bang they re deploying. that has sent everyone running. just hit somebody there. so somebody was hit with one of those devices. now that gas is coming this direction. we ll walk a little faster to walk away from this.
unloaded the tear gas. you can see police behind me in full riot gear trying to keep this crowd at bay. they re trying to disperse the crowd, trying to get them to go home. when we had the verdict there were immediate concerns and flashbacks to ferguson missouri just a short distance away from st. louis. the question was would we see st. louis rerupt tonight. the police dog the best they can to keep control. that concern definitely exists. that s why the missouri governor activated the national guard they re on stand by if things get out of control. we saw a number of businesses in downtown st. louis board up their windows, that we might see windows broken and vandalism. we saw a little of that. we saw people break windows at the mayor s house.
