The latest CU might fail to install for some
Microsoft has released new cumulative updates for Windows 10 earlier this month as part of the May 2021 Patch Tuesday cycle, but as it turns out, not everything is running smoothly for users running version 2004 and 20H2.
More specifically, installing cumulative update KB5003173 fails with error code 0x800f0922, something that obviously doesn’t say too much about the actual cause of the problem and therefore leaving users all alone in their attempt to install the update.
A recent report reveals that what might be causing the installation of cumulative update KB5003173 to fail is a change concerning Microsoft Edge.

New Windows 10 updates coming
Microsoft is getting ready to roll out new Windows 10 cumulative updates for all versions of the operating system still receiving security updates.
The rollout would take place as part of the April 2021 Patch Tuesday cycle and will, of course, be focused on security improvements aimed at the vulnerabilities found in the operating system.
Needless to say, these cumulative updates should be installed as soon as possible by all users, though as we learned the hard way, doing this is sometimes not the best idea, as they could come with various issues that Microsoft wasn’t aware of in the beginning.

Out of band CU now up for grabs
Microsoft has released a new cumulative update for Windows 10 devices in order to resolve a printing bug that was introduced by the March 2021 Patch Tuesday rollout.
The out-of-band update is KB5001567 for Windows 10 version 2004 and 20H2, and it includes a fix for a bug that “might cause a blue screen when you attempt to print to certain printers using some apps.”
The March 2021 update cycle included new cumulative updates for all Windows 10 devices, but as Microsoft itself acknowledged shortly after the release, they also came with a bug that caused some computers to encounter a fatal crash when trying to print.
