Mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit opens in Maine Hannah Dineen Replay Video Maine has launched its first mobile COVID-19 vaccination clinic.  Starting at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Oxford Casino, people began to trickle in for vaccination appointments.  Gov. Janet Mills and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Regional Administrator Paul Ford were there to unveil the state s new weapon against the coronavirus. What a great day, Mills exclaimed before introducing her colleagues. Mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit to help vaccinate Mainers in rural, underserved areas Share Updated: 2:04 PM EDT Apr 6, 2021 Coronavirus Vaccine Share Updated: 2:04 PM EDT Apr 6, 2021 The state and the Federal Emergency Management Agency announced Tuesday a partnership that will bring a mobile COVID-19 vaccination unit to rural or underserved parts of Maine.The mobile vaccination unit is only the second of its kind in New England, according to Gov. Janet Mills.It will begin offering vaccines on April 12 and will travel to 11 locations across the state over the next two months.The MVU is expected to vaccinate at least 250 people per day, utilizing the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine in order to maximize efficiency.“The clinic will complement our existing vaccination efforts well and allow people in rural communities to more easily get the vaccine, protecting their health and that of their loved ones and helping us to win the fight against CO
