Gov. Whitmer will announce four first round of $50,000 daily drawing winners for the MI Shot To Win sweepstakes program.
As of 8 a.m. Tuesday, the 1,724,771 Michiganders have entered the sweepstakes applicants for the grand prizes since it began July 1, with 77,849 young Michiganders signed up for the scholarship drawing.
On Monday, 78,789 signed up. Sunday saw 46,456 entries.
The sweepstakes involves a series of statewide drawings with an aim of encouraging more Michiganders to get a COVID-19 vaccine and raise the statewide immunization goal of 70% of residents age 16 and older who are immunized.
The MI Shot to Win Sweepstakes, with $5 million in total prizes, began July 1 and continues until Aug. 3. It features a single drawing of $50,000 each day for 30 days for adult Michiganders who get a first dose of a coronavirus vaccine between July 1-July 30.
