A cadet in the Sokoto Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, identified as Abel Isah has been killed by superior officers for refusing to sign off on incomplete exhibits handed over to him. SaharaReporters learnt that two of Isah’s superior officers were angered by his refusal to be part of the illegality and therefore heavily descended on him. Sadly, Isah, who hailed from Plateau State, was subsequently beaten to death by his superiors.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) announced on Monday that it had apprehended members of a currency racketeer syndicate who were hoarding and trading with redesigned naira notes. According to EFCC spokesman Wilson Uwajaren, the arrests took place on Saturday and Monday in the Federal Capital Territory's Zone 4 and Dei Dei axis.

A former General Manager and Head of Legal Services of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, Sir Adebayo Aderibigbe and one Ogundele Mura Yisa-Yemi have been arraigned in court for alleged N60 million fraud. They were arraigned on Wednesday by Nigeria's anti-corruption agency, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), before Justice O. A. Musa of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja.
