The branch in Wilsden Main Street has now been under community ownership for four years. And despite the challenges of the pandemic, the business has continued to go from strength to strength. The anniversary also coincided with another significant moment for the post office – the retirement of postmaster Bryan Crosby. “When we decided to establish the community post office we were really fortunate to recruit Bryan – he was there on the first day and he has been the key member of staff since,” says Peter Allison, a director of the branch. “It is largely down to Bryan’s knowledge of the business and his great relationship with our customers that we have built the thriving post office we have today.
