Larry Lee Larsen was born in Roberts County, SD to Emil and Mildred (Chapin) Larsen. He grew up with his six siblings, Arnold, Roy, Irene, Delores, Don, and Jerry on the family farm in Wilmot, SD where he graduated from Wilmot High School.
