P1 1-B ayuda distributed to over 1 million beneficiaries in NCR+ – DSWD – Manila Bulletin

Published April 12, 2021, 9:39 PM Over 1 million low-income people affected by the imposition of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in the National Capital Region (NCR)-plus have received their one-time financial assistance amounting to more than P1 billion, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) said Monday evening, April 12. Citing the report from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) dated April 10, the DSWD said more than P1.1-billion supplemental aid for ECQ areas has been distributed during the April 7 to 9 payouts. “Based on the April 10 report from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), covering the payouts from April 7 to 9,  more than P1.1 billion has already been distributed to over 1 million beneficiaries from the National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal,” it said in a statement.

Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)(MANILA BULLETIN) Director Wilma Naviamos of the DSWD’s Program Management Bureau (PMB) confirmed the existence of the social media accounts propagating illegitimate adoption in the country. “DSWD has actually monitored 48 fake FB accounts na nagsasabi ng (that are encouraging) online adoption. We have reported this and coordinated with NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) and the police authorities authorities to track these identified fake FBI accounts,” she said In a virtual media forum dubbed “Family for Children in Need Amidst the Pandemic: Support to Adoption Implementation During the Time of COVID-19” as part of the week-long Adoption Consciousness Celebration (ACC) from Feb. 6 to 12.
