Vandalia Man Faces Host of Charges After Early Morning Chase

In a Facebook post, the Audrain County Sheriff’s Office reports a deputy was on patrol in Vandalia just before 4 a.m. Friday when he spotted a vehicle driven by Willy Sitton, who has active warrants for his arrest in Pike County along with parole violation warrants from the Missouri Department of Corrections.
Sitton spotted the deputy and fled into Pike County, abandoning his car and continuing on foot into a field near Curryville.
Pike County Sheriff’s deputies who were more familiar with the area were called in on the search, and Sitton was taken into custody.
