Before Josh Adams was a running back for the New York Jets, he spent his days at Willow Knoll Park in Warrington, practicing basketball and perfecting his football skills.
As a kid, Adams dreamed of playing football professionally, and the park provided a space for round-the-clock practice.
Now, the NFL player wants to give back to the park that helped build his career.
After being signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, Adams had the idea to revamp the park from a place that he remembered tattered basketball nets, broken equipment and a football field with no goal lines to a place that inspires children. Adams approached the township about renovating the park, and a few years later his vision is becoming a reality.
