How the Willows Field development at Omega South could look CONSTRUCTION work on a development of 145 new homes has begun. Castle Green Homes was granted detailed planning permission for the scheme at Omega South by Warrington Borough Council last month. And builders have now moved onto the 12-acre site, which was formerly part of RAF Burtonwood. The 17 two-bedroom, 69 three-bedroom and 59 four-bedroom houses – including 19 affordable units – will be released for sale later this month. Work on the Willows Field project, which also features an open public space and a play area, will take around two-and-a-half years to complete. Outline planning permission had previously been approved by WBC in June 2016 as part of proposals for a total of 1,100 houses to be built in the area.
