Adrian Medina, 17, previously charged as an adult in Kandiyohi County District Court, was adjudicated delinquent after a successful appeal this summer moved the case back to juvenile court.
Sebastian Arevalo, the man accused of shooting at a Willmar police officer last summer, has pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer and second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon. Arevalo was originally charged with several counts of assault with a dangerous weapon and one count of attempted second-degree murder.
Adrian Medina, 16, made his first appearance Friday as a certified adult in Kandiyohi County District Court. He faces two counts of attempted murder and two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. Medina was identified by an adult male witness as the alleged shooter in a Willmar shooting reported Aug. 27, 2022.
Christian Arevalo has pleaded guilty to one felony charge of first-degree assault on a peace officer, as an accomplice after the fact. He was not alleged to have been the shooter in the July 5 incident in southwest Willmar but accused of being the getaway driver and of obstructing the investigation.
