Five people, including three incumbents, are running for Willmar School Board this fall. Three of them will be elected to four-year terms in the Nov. 8 general election.
With three former teachers on the School Board, Superintendent Jeff Holm took his chance at Monday's meeting to urge board members to consider subbing for the district. Substitute teachers are needed at all levels, and the district also has numerous openings in permanent positions.
Candidate forums with the candidates for House 16B, Senate 16, Kandiyohi County Sheriff, Kandiyohi County Commissioner District 3, Willmar Mayor and Willmar School Board will be held by the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
