Burlington County's new regional trail project will connect three county parks in order to boost pedestrian and bicycle safety on Route 130, which is one of New Jersey's most dangerous roads.
New Jersey officials are looking to invest more than $100 million in parks, playgrounds and open spaces across the state. The funding, which would be provided through the state's Green Acres Program, would benefit several parks in South Jersey. The Garden State Preservation Trust has approved the projects.

DELANCO, NJ – Burlington County’s push to develop additional miles of pedestrian and bicycling trails continued this month as construction started on a new trail linking Amico Island Park in Delran to Pennington Park in Delanco.
The new path is one of several new trails projects in the works or near completion in Burlington County, which already has more than 1,000 acres of developed parkland and 50-plus miles of interconnecting hiking, biking and running trails.
