An abandoned south Wexford leisure centre – described as a ‘death tap’ by a Wexford councillor – has been closed off to the public among health and safety concerns.
It should have been a wonderful amenity, enjoyed by smiling visitors to the picturesque south Wexford coast. Instead a crumbling bar and leisure centre at the heart of a community of holiday homes is something reminiscent of a YouTube video from an abandoned war-torn city and has been described as “an absolute death-trap”.
