Coscharis responds to customers demand with Renault models

DETERMINED to give more Nigerians the opportunity to drive brand new cars, Coscharis Motors, sole representative of Renault brand in Nigeria, has extended the Easter promo on the Renault brand.
The company in a statement made available to Vanguard Motoring on Wednesday said that: “The promo which was earlier scheduled to run till the end of April has now been extended to run till the end of June 2021.
“The extension is in response to the demand of a good number of the company’s customers and prospects for more time, to enable them take advantage of the promo.”

Enters Changan Hunter with French DNA

Foremost Nigeria auto distribution company, Stallion Motors, has unveiled the all-new Changan Hunter pickup into the Nigerian market. The Changan pickup is a joint venture between Changan Auto and Groupe PSA, the second-largest car manufacturer in Europe.
A Chinese truck with strong European DNA, the Hunter midsize pickup was presented to the motoring press over the weekend by the officials of Stallion Motors who described the vehicle as one of the most powerful in its segment.
Speaking at the launch, Stallion Motors’ Head of Sale and Marketing, Vijay Singh, said the launch was aimed at serving the Nigerian business community and government sectors with a pickup that combines quality, ruggedness, durability and affordability.

Hyundai Sweeps iF Design Award

HYUNDAI Motor Company triumphed at the world-renowned International Forum (iF) Design Award 2021 this week with 14 awards for design excellence, including iF’s top Gold award for the ‘E-pit ultra-fast charger’ for electric vehicle, EV.
Hyundai Motors has now been honoured at seven consecutive iF Design Award events, including three coveted Gold awards, which go to only 75 of the best designs among nearly 10,000 annual entries.
Hyundai triumphs across various disciplines such as product, communication, user interface, architecture, and professional concept. In particular, the company is recognized for its brand communication design with six awards in the communication category for the first time.

AS Nigeria continues to toy with its auto policy, Ghana, another West African country, is demonstrating a willingness to successfully pursue its automotive development plan.
The African Association of Automotive Manufacturers, AAAM, hosted an exploratory visit by automotive component manufacturers to Ghana in the first week of March.
The objective was to introduce potential investors to the Ghanaian automotive market.
The initial visit was focused on aftermarket opportunities, which in time will also support original equipment assembly as the volumes grow, as currently almost all components are imported.
Executives from Maxe (a division of KAP Automotive), Supreme Springs (a division of Metair) and Hudson Rubber were involved in a week of back-to-back engagements with original equipment assemblers, local manufacturers, vehicle dealers, and spare parts importers as well as the Ghana Standards Authority, the AfCFTA Secretariat and the Ministry of Trade and Industr
