63-year-old arrested in slaying of man who was found on west Oak Cliff sidewalk

John Thomas Hall faces a murder charge in the death of 47-year-old James Harmon.
Dallas police were called about 7:45 a.m. Saturday to the 3500 block of Falls Drive, near Coombs Creek Drive, where Harmon was unresponsive on the sidewalk. He had been shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not say how they linked Hall to the crime.
He was booked into the Dallas County jail Thursday, with bail set at $200,000. He does not have an attorney listed in court records.
