Professor mcdowell is the professor of literary studies and the director of the College Institute for africanamerican studies at the university of virginia. She has been a member of the uva her booksnce 1987 and include studies of fiction by africanamerican women as well as numerous articles and in scholarly publications. The cdc says the most common symptoms are fever, rash, joint pain, or conjunctivitis or pink eye . Other common symptoms headache. Evidence is growing that the virus could be causing devastating birth defects in babies born to mothers who became infected while pregnant.
