Sandro Galea, MD, DrPH, one of the world’s most influential public health leaders, will become the inaugural Margaret C. Ryan Dean of the planned School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, effective Jan. 1. In this critical leadership role, Galea will help shape and launch WashU’s first new school in 100 years.
Robyn LeBoeuf, a professor of marketing and co-vice dean of faculty and research at Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, was installed as the inaugural Joyce and Chauncy Buchheit Distinguished Professor during a ceremony at the school’s Charles F. Knight Executive Education Center.
A $15 million commitment from Washington University benefactors Philip and Sima Needleman will enable the university to leverage its expertise in biomedical discovery to boost drug development via the Needleman Program for Innovation and Commercialization.
