Body of Herkimer County man missing for more than 3 weeks body found in creek

Newport, N.Y. The body of a missing Herkimer County man was found Monday in a creek, according to New York State Police.
William E. Coman, 90, of 8443 State Route 28, was found dead in West Canada Creek, near West Canada High School.
Coman was reported missing April 2 after he went for a walk on his property and never returned, police said.
Troopers had searched for Coman with drones and an airboat before finding his body Monday.

NEWPORT, NY – New York State Police tell NewsChannel 2 they have located the body of an elderly man who had been missing for more than three weeks.
Troopers say the New York State Police Under Water Recovery Team found the body of 90-year-old William E. Coman of State Route 28 in Newport in the West Canada Creek near West Canada Valley High School.
Coman had not been seen since the evening of Friday, April 2nd when his wife reported him missing. He was said to have been throwing an object into the creek when police say he fell in and did not resurface. His shoe was found floating in the water the next day.
