The summer-long Indiana Sires Stakes culminated with the crowning of 10 new champions with purses offered exceeding $1.8 million.
A trio of Indiana Sires Stakes divisions for pacing colts and geldings was the featured attraction at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino on Friday, Aug. 18 two $67,500 divisions for the two-year-old pacing colts and one $96,000 division for the three-year-old competitors. It was a good night for sire Tellitlikeitis as his progeny swept all three divisions.
Teelatini continued her winning ways at Harrah’s Hoosier Park Racing & Casino after she captured the featured event of the evening, the $133,000 Indiana Sires Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies, on Thursday (Aug. 17). Stopping the timer in 1:51.1, Teelatini recorded her fourth straight stakes win and established a new lifetime best with driver Peter Wrenn in the bike.
