up. we don t have to go around and being climate deniers. we can empower women by talking about the elder care client which negatively impacts women and takes them out of the workforce. younger republicans recognize this. i think you see people who are ready to take leadership at the appropriate time and lead on these issues. speaking of that, i ve noted what happened in iowa this week. a number of different things that took place. you had mike pompeo who was there, but he also made the rounds when it came to radio and tv interviews. i think it was five interviews that he made by my count. that was interesting. you had larry hogan, the governor of maryland who was there who made a very big hire yesterday, william well, the former governor of massachusetts is in the race. there are some republicans that are kind of starting to position themselves just in case something happened. larry hogan saying he wouldn t run right now but in three
governor gary johnson. and his running made, former massachusetts governor william well. johnson was stumped when i asked one direct question. let s watch. who is your favorite foreign leader? who is my favorite? anywhere in the country. name one foreign leader that you respect and look up to. anybody. my was shimon peres. i m talking about living. anywhere. any continent. canada, mexico, europe. asia, south america, name a foreign leader you respect. i m having an aleppo moment in the former president of mexico. i m giving you the whole world. anybody in the world you like. anybody. pinckney leader. the former president of mexico. which one? i m having a brain name anybody. fox. who is your favorite leader? fox. he was terrific. any foreign leader. merkel. fine.
so it takes us a long time to make these changes. so it s very exciting to see that we are moving forward with that. now, you know william well, you know the influence that his mother had, you have a good idea and feel for what decisions he ll make as a parent. how do you think he ll choose to raise his little boy? chris, i know his father well. i know william much less. he s a different generation. my life is very different. i live on a small island far away from england now. i am blessed to be inside that family and to have had some extraordinary times. i think what we can see is the extraordinary good job that his father has done in raising william, a single parent a difficult position as we all know. and especially the tragedy they had to be confronted with. i think william is going to have taken a lot of that on board, and i think the very unique combination that we see with kate and william having had just as katie said, those years
