Suzanne last nights shooting in louisiana on the minds of some people as they headed to the Silver Spring theater today. It was tragic. I feel like in 2015 this stuff shouldnt happen anymore. This is horrific. There are horrific things like this around other places in the country recently. I wouldnt blame Movie Theaters. Seuss following the Movie Theater shooting in aurora colorado, in 2012 questions were raised about security and whether it needed to be tighter at Movie Theaters. Last night attack renews that debate. I just dont know what kind of security would work. I really do hate the idea of being in a social setting with layers and layers of security. No more security. Why . What is it going to solve . More of a police presence. Not going to solve anything. We start the morning at the live desk. Were getting new information about a man who shot nine people in a Movie Theater and then shot himself. Police say he was staying at a hotel near the Movie Theater and when police got in there they found wigs glasses and another license plate for his car. Police say he was planning an escape. They say he opened fire about 20 minutes into the movie train wreck, and then he left and tried to leave with the crowd. When he saw the police he went back in and shot himself. Police dont know why he picked this city and these people. We talked to some of the family members last night who dont have very much contact with him or havent seen him. So he just seemed like he was kind of drifting along. Now, houser killed two young women two survivors got out of the hospital this morning but the others are still recovering and one of them is in critical condition. Thanks, chris.
