Critics like the Canadian Taxpayers Federation are missing the mark it’s not city staff who are the problem. They should have the necessary income to support their families and shop at local businesses. They work hard and they should earn living wages. You don’t take out your budget woes on the backs of your most valuable contributors.

Role clarity and leadership needs improvement, but wage or job cuts only lead to erosion of service and burnout.
