The RCMP have located the Chief William Saulis scallop dragger which has been missing since December 15th.
On Saturday morning RCMP used a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV) to search a targeted area, using side-scan sonar, where a mass was detected. The mass was confirmed to be the Chief William Saulis. The vessel was located upright more than two kilometres from the shore of Delaps Cove.
The five missing fishermen from the vessel have still not been found. Police say they are continuing to search for them and their families have been told about the finding.
