Streets named after Cadover and Bickleigh house the few hundred residents of Miles Mitchell Village.
Just a lockdown stroll away from Crownhill village, this quaint Plymouth pocket comes complete with its own village hall and public clock. Proper postcard stuff.
This 70-year-old haven, for people of a similar age, started life back in 1953 when a site of 11.9 acres was acquired, tucked away off Church Hill.
The village was the result of a special study into the needs of older people after the war - a spectacular location was chosen, with views of Devon s countryside and the edge of Dartmoor.
