Two people died in an overnight traffic crash involving a motorcycle and a van along State Road A1A in Cocoa Beach.
The collision happened about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Second Street, the Cocoa Beach Police Department reported.
The crash was the fourth and fifth traffic fatalities to be reported in Brevard County this week.

COCOA BEACH, Fla. – A motorcyclist traveling in Cocoa Beach crashed into a van Wednesday night, killing the biker and the van driver, according to police.
The Cocoa Beach Police Department said the double fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at South Orlando Avenue and South 2nd Street.

Police said 26-year-old David Johnston, of Cocoa Beach, was traveling south on South Orlando Avenue on a motorcycle when his bike hit a van driven by 59-year-old William Lapierre, who was heading east on South 2nd Street.
