FENTON, MI A Fenton man in his 30s was seriously injured in one of two crashes Monday morning that shut down southbound US-23 near the Thompson Road exit for almost seven hours, according to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office.
The first crash shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, April 19, involved a semi-tractor trailer hauling a trailer full of soybeans which crashed into the back of a pickup truck with a trailer hauling an excavator, Cpt. William Lanning told MLive-The Flint Journal.
The semi-tractor flipped onto its side. The crash was due to construction and slowing of traffic, Lanning said.
