The bravery shown by two Hot Springs police officers during a mass shooting that followed a local high school graduation and the kidnapping of a local teenager, two incidents that drew national attention to Hot Springs, were among the top newsmakers of 2022.
BENTON Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge recognized two Hot Springs police officers as 2022 Law Enforcement Officers of the Year on Tuesday for their actions during a shooting in May that left one person dead outside the Hot Springs Convention Center.
