The $100,000 Pace Baby Pace Invitational, honouring the memory of Pacey “The Wizard” Mindlin, is shaping up to be a race to remember, according to Miami Valley Race Secretary Gregg Keidel.
Panettone Hanover became the only two-time winner in the first two preliminaries of the Bobby Weiss Series for three-year-old pacing colts Saturday afternoon (April 15) at Pocono Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono, winning one of five $20,000 divisions in 1:52.2 as rain began to fall just before he post paraded in the 10th race.
Driver Trace Tetrick recorded his 7,000th career victory on Monday, April 10 at Miami Valley Raceway. The milestone win came in the 12th race behind Universal, Tetrick’s third winner on the program.
Corey Callahan led all drivers on Friday, April 7 at Harrah’s Philadelphia with four victories, including putting a new mark of 1:51 on Captain Crusader A in the $20,000 Open Handicap Pace.
