Hill Group has been picked by the development company of the University of Oxford’s St John’s College as partner for the first phase of homes at the £500m life science and residential scheme at Oxford North.
The housebuilder has been chosen by Thomas White Oxford (TWO) to develop 3.5 ha of land at Canalside, south of the A40. It will deliver the first phase of homes and related infrastructure, in line with the masterplan.
TWO was recently granted planning permission from Oxford City Council for outline consent for the overall 64-acre masterplan, which will create 4,500 new science and technology jobs, 480 new homes, of which a minimum of 35 per cent will be affordable, and 23 acres of open spaces, including three new parks. Significant investment into the walking, cycling, bus and highway networks is planned.
