Resident Evil Reboot Movie Gets September 2021 Release Date
The
Resident Evil reboot movie has been given its theatrical release date. This latest adaptation of Capcom’s survival horror video game series is now planned to premiere on Sept. 3. As movie-going continues into uncharted territory, however, it might be safe to hold off hopes that this release date will stick.
47 Meters Down director Johannes Roberts directed the film and co-wrote it with Greg Russo. The film is set in 1998 Raccoon City and will follow the source material of the original PlayStation video games more closely. The cast includes Kaya Scodelario (
