New Jersey Herald
William Alfund, 46, died at Newton Medical Center on Jan. 28, shortly after he was stabbed inside a home on Lewisburg Avenue, Trooper Alejandro Goez, a New Jersey State Police spokesman, said Wednesday.
A 59-year-old Wantage man was also stabbed during the incident but was treated at the hospital and released. Goez declined to identify the man, stating that no charges had been filed as of Wednesday afternoon.
Alfund, who was born in Kings Park, New York, lived in Sussex County his entire life.
A self-employed building contractor, Alfund loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting, and could fix anything, according to his obituary.
