For the third successive game against the Romans, the Bluebirds scored first, but having gone on to lose the previous two, Mike Cook’s men managed to halt that slide – though Chippenham are now on the club’s longest home run without a win since joining National League South four seasons ago.

1 - 0 Win to Chippenham Town CHIPPENHAM Town returned to winning ways on Saturday after a 1-0 success away at Welling United in National League South. After the Bluebirds’ midweek clash against Tonbridge was suspended early on due to heavy fog, Mike Cook’s men carried on where they left off at the weekend, and Brad Ash’s second-half strike was enough to seal the points. Welling started well and went close early on as Ryan Blackman slipped the ball through to Dipo Akinyemi, but his angled shot beat Will Puddy as well as the far post.
