Editor: It seems like through our lifetime someone tells us what we can â or must â wear and what we cannot wear.
In the Dec. 7 âBrian Fultonâs Day in History,â 50 years ago Dunmore Junior-Senior High School students were told that boys could not wear tight trousers, trousers without a belt, shirts must be tucked into trousers, socks must be worn and no sneakers were allowed. Girls were told no hair curlers, no tight skirts, no shorts and they must wear pantyhose if wearing skirts or culottes. As of that date in 1970, girls were allowed to wear pants or slacks to school.
