actually, the people who do the most for the black community in america are the police. so, will karr is joining us with more from l.a. will just told me he was able to hear the audio and it says, what do we want? saying he heard those protesters say, some of them, at least. we certainly heard things like that over the past couple weeks from some protesters. one thing we didn t see last night were any protests against police. police who we protest that we ve seen over the past couple of weeks in new york, in ferguson, in los angeles in cities all across the united states. a number of current and former law enforcement members have come out this morning ing lume against police officers in some of those protests saying they should have been handled better. a major impact on police frs os and members of law enforcement across the country.
on horseback saw a couple of people matching the description of the suspect and the girl in that same area. the man who made the very first call to the amber alert tipline said he knew something wasn t right. he might have been an outdoorsman in california. but he was not an outdoorsman in idaho. he said it was the way he was dressed that kind of tipped him off. authorities searched for remote wilderness and found their target from the air at a fortified camp site. will karr live in cascade, idaho. will? reporter: hi, harris. we re learning a lot more about what helped authorities sweep in and shoot and kill dimaggio and then rescue hannah. now, those witnesses are two couples. they tell us that this past wednesday they were actually fishing in a very isolated part of idaho. and they were on horseback coming back from fishing when they ran into hannah and dimaggio. they tell us that hannah was wearing pajamas. and that when they tried to talk to her she would turn her face. they
we re very, very grateful for the fire department and all the fire departments from up and down the state and out of state. they are all here helping us. we never dreamt it would be back here again. we thought we were safe last night. unfortunately they re expecting strong winds throughout this area through the weekend. bill: this is having a big impact on animals. what are you hearing about that today? absolutely. we had some dramatic video of ranchers in this area trying to save dozens of their horses showing you the impact this has not only on residents but their animals. for the firefighters, this is a dramatic game of whack-a-mole where they go and put one fire out but the winds push the embers around and start another fire and they are constantly trying to put those flames out. we ll see what today holds when the winds pick up. bill: will karr in california watching that in a moment here and as we wait for the sun to rise.
