For quite some time, there had been murmurs about a documentary based on the iconic duo- Salim-Javed and their contribution to the Hindi cinema. Looks like it is going to be a reality soon. Now, it has been heard that the documentary would be produced by none other than Javed Akhtar s son, Farhan Akhtar, It also looks like reports of Zoya Akhtar directing it is untrue.
According to a report in Spotboye, this documentary would be directed by a newcomer. A source said, “It will contain extensive interviews with Javed and Salim Saab and also with Amitabh Bachchan whose career was spectacularly amplified by the films that Salim-Javed wrote for him. It will also have extensive footage from the phenomenal films that the duo wrote. We are on the verge of finalizing the director. It will be someone new.”
