During its Tuesday, Jan. 19 virtual meeting, the Bay City Commission opted to receive two ordinance amendments for a first reading that deal with instituting deposits for commercial utility customers who are expected to incur monthly bills past a threshold of $50,000. The ordinance amendments will be presented at the next commission meeting on Feb. 1 for a second reading and possible adoption.
