Two Year Old Killed In Wilkes Hit And Run A two year old was killed in a hit and run accident last week in Wilkes County. WataugaOnline.com reports the accident happened Thursday night December 10 on Traphill Road. According to the report, the child wandered away from home and was found by family members along the side of the road. The child was initially transported to Mountain View Fire Department by a family member, but was pronounced deceased at Wilkes Medical Center. The child had been left at home with two other children for a short time as a parent went to a neighboring house.
