Location of the migratory bird found dead in Siswan rivulet in Ropar district of Punjab
PATIALA: The sample of a migratory bird that was found dead in Siswan rivulet in Ropar district of Punjab around ten days back has reported positive on Tuesday according to the wildlife officials.
The sample of bar-headed goose, a migratory bird, was taken on January 8 after the wildlife officials found it dead in the Siswan rivulet following which the district officials claimed to have sent the sample for testing. The officials said that it is suspected the bird might have flown from Pong dam and died on the way to his destiny. They said that the bar-headed goose was found dead on the rivulet and there was no residence or poultry farm or bird activity in around one-kilometre area of the location of bird’s death.
