Arkell s planned apple barn in Tadpole Garden Village Tadpole Garden Village: Arkell s Brewery has started building a new pub and microbrewery in Green Street in the expanding housing development. But it has applied to change its plans, which no longer show the previously-approved Apple Barn and cider barn. The company says the change is needed owing to the costs of the development. Built in 2013 the school’s roof has failed and original contractor Laing O’Rourke, based in Manchester, wants to use the summer holidays to re-cover the building, raising the parapet at the roofline to give extra protection.
