A former member of the Defence Force has been charged after police seized chemicals that they say could be used to manufacture explosives during a major operation in Picton, south of Sydney on Tuesday.
NSW Police began the investigation into Michael Timothy Brown, 54, following information from the Australian Federal Police in relation to the importation of prohibited firearms and explosives.
Authorities raided two Picton properties on Tuesday, where they seized chemicals.
