again. this wikileaks stuff is unbelievable. ill tells you the inner heart. you got to read it. another one came in today. this wikileaks is like a treasure trove. i was getting off the plane, and they were just announcing new wikileaks, and i wanted to stay there, but i didn t want to keep you waiting. i love wikileaks! it sounds like, everybody gets a car! i don t know what you re talking about. but here s the question and definitely spot-on with the legal aspect of this. these are all different dots that mueller is looking at and how they connect is the big question. as we said, roger stone, as we remember, tauted about knowing that wikileaks was going to dump a bunch of hillary clinton e-mails six days before it happened. so we knew about some of the activity wikileaks was doing. and we also know the president was a big fan of what wikileaks was doing, obviously putting out information about his
define what a journalist is? i ll tell you how the secretary of state mike pompeo defines it. guys, listen to this. it is time to call out wikileaks for what it really is, a nonstate hostile intelligence service often embedded by state actors like russia. a nonstate hostile intelligence service is different than a journalism outfit. well, i mean, so says mike pompeo, then i think at the cia. true. but asang in court could say, but how do you define what i m doing as different from what journalist ds do? i get classified information and i publish it. i have no doubt that wikileaks has done the work of russia. that s part of the mueller case. the issue is were they complicit and/or involved in the threat, in the stealing of it?
about julian assange, wikileaks, and she put the two of them together. alex can speak to this, but monica felt it was important that it was not just about the affair. monica is the end of the story, really. there is so much more there. in particular paula jones and that lawsuit and how monica gets swept up into it. so was she just ready? had the time come? well, i think she was on the verge of being ready, and we were able to have a conversation. i think she felt that we would respect her testimony. and i think she was also encouraged by the idea that it wasn t going to be just her story, that she was going to be a part of this larger narrative. but within that context, i think she was ready to tell her tale. to say it gripped the nation
finally she s allowed to call her mom and her mom comes and gets her. it is so fascinating to put that lens over what happened 20 years ago. and, you know, she, monica, has been insightful about who was she and do we see her as victim or vixen. that has always been the debate, but everybody cast her without her participation. you know, she didn t get to weigh in until now. that s why it is so interesting and relevant to hear what her thoughts are. in 2013, you did an exhaustive documentary on wikileaks and julian assange. so the idea that he has been charged or that charges have been filed, what do you think? it appears assange s name has been pasted in to a request to seal documents. it is a cut and paste mistake, maybe. it looks like.
