The wonderful thing about reflection is that you can change your mind. My Top Ten of 2021 does not directly correlate to the highest number of stars I awarded as a reviewer.
Directed by Wiebke Green and produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, the piece,
Tarantula, will star Georgie Henley (
Angry), who appeared in another Ridley show back in 2017.
The show will run three times, on 30 April and twice on 1 May, with the matinee show on 1 May supplied with captions.
The piece follows a young girl, Toni, just after she has her first kiss.
Ridley is known for a plethora of shows including
The Pitchfork Disney,
Radiant Vermin.
âThe Poltergeistâ Review: Portrait of the Artist as a Young Madman
A breakneck performance by Joseph Potter as an embittered former prodigy carries this unnerving monologue from Philip Ridley.

The mind of a neurotic artist is a terrifying place to be. Trust me, I know: Iâve had a 30-year residency in one, and itâs no picnic.
Still, the artist at the center of âThe Poltergeist,â a new solo play by Philip Ridley presented by Tramp and streaming courtesy of Londonâs Southwark Playhouse, functions on a whole different level. As a teen, Sasha (Joseph Potter) was dubbed a prodigy thanks to his large-scale murals. He was going to be a star, but now, years later, heâs a nobody, self-consciously making smudged watercolors and sketches that he immediately declares worthless.
