Smart Omega crashed out of the M2 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang World Championship after getting destroyed by Indonesia’s Alter Ego Esports, 2-0, in the second round of the lower bracket on Saturday at the Shangri-La Hotel.
It was a great run for Omega in its first international tournament as it grabbed one of the four upper bracket spots through a dominant group stage campaign, only to fail to win a single game in the playoffs.
Omega finished at the 5th-6th spot and secured a decent chunk of the $300,000 (over P14.4 million) prize pool.
