It looks like were lower again today. Dow down about 40 points. S p futures down 6. Nasdaq down nearly 14. This after the dow actually finished lower for the sixth session in a row. As for oil prices, all the focus back in a bear market off 22 from the june high. And they are getting a bit of a relief bounce this morning. Still around 40 a barrel. Dipped below it yesterday, 40. 13 right now. Keep a close eye on that. It is starting to impact sentiment perhaps with lack of other catalysts. The Economic Data heats up. Of course everyone still talks about the former correlation trading relationship between stocks and oil. Well see if that holds in the weeks and months Going Forward here. Last nights attack in the coastal city of nice marks the third terrorist attack on french soil in less than two years. It comes just eight months after the rampage in paris. Well have the latest on horror that took place on frances bastille day in just a few moments. Another difficult morning wilfred, but first lets check on the markets for you. U. S. Futuring giving back some of the gains. We have gone on though for five sessions in a row. Closing at another record high for the dow and s p. Little action in the futures action. Dow futures down five. S p down three. Nasdaq down three. A heavy data dump in the u. S. Marked by retail sales later this morning. As for the 10year treasury no yield. We have seen them move in the complete opposite direction this week. That has pushed yields up into the 1. 50. Were sitting at 1. 53 this morning. Lets check on the markets in asia. Now. S. Lets check on the groebl markets this morning. Show you the action after stocks fell yesterday in the u. S. For the second day in three sessions. Looks like dow futures under a bit of pressure. Not a whole lot of action. S p futures down two as well. Nasdaq futures down five. Weve got a boat load of earnings, including several key dow components including mcdonalds and apple coming your way later. Fed kick off a twoday meeting. Weve got the 10year treasury note yield a bit lower this morning. 1. 54 so some buying off of a selloff particularly in japan overnight. Those stock mashlgts we just saw in the u. S. , yes weve seen them sell off a bit yesterday, but the dow and s p over 3 month to date. Nasdaq over 5 . Similar kind of moves in europe and asia so far this month so we have seen a bit of profit taking over the last couple of days. The ftse and cac are up 3 . The dax is up over 5 month to date. The s p actually did pause for the rally yesterday, but the dow did manage to close higher for an eighth session in a row making a new alltime high following in the footsteps of europe this morning
