KUALA LUMPUR, April 25 Senior Minister cum International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will lead a trade and investment mission to Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from tomorrow until May 4, 2021.
The mission is part of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry’s (Miti) continuous effort to promote business opportunities and strategic partnerships between Malaysia and the West Asian region.

PETALING JAYA: Germany’s Voith Hydro GmbH & Co KG is teaming up with Widad Business Group Sdn Bhd (WBG) to seek out more hydro projects in Malaysia.
Voith Hydro, which is a manufacturer and supplier for hydropower plants and engineering services, had yesterday signed a memorandum of collaboration with WBG.
Markus Kaufmann, head of sales and proposal service and upgrade at Voith Hydro, said more than 50% of the peninsular hydropower plant capacity provided by the company is in Sungai Perak and Cameron Highlands.

PETALING JAYA: Widad Business Group Sdn Bhd (WBG) is planning to build a mixed development named Widad@Langkasuka in Pulau Langkawi, Kedah, with an estimated gross development value of RM40 billion.
Expected to be completed within 15 to 20 years, the announcement of the project commencement was made in Kedah by Mentri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.
WBG, a wholly bumiputra private company owned by Kedah-born Tan Sri Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah, is a majority stakeholder of Bursa-listed Widad Group Bhd and Dataprep Holdings Bhd.
