i think if you don t have a counter narrative that demeans the other side for its practices then you end up with this kind of reaction. jenna: it s counter narrative and propaganda the same thing. i would say they are pretty similar. jenna: it s part of war and being in control of the message and knowing what the message is if that s what you re fighting for. i think we have lost control of that right now. jenna: how do we get it back? i think by designing a proactive forward looking strategy that highlights key things that are going to make the afghans increasingly turn away from the taliban. it would be great to see local afghans demonstrating against the taliban for civilian casualties. we ve not even helped try and mobilize that. jenna: why haven t we? probably lack of good for sight. jenna: the ambassador crocker says they are trying to get things to return to normal at least in the short term. we are talking about long term things. in the short term how do you fix this.

why haven t we seen one jobs bills by anybody in congress? everybody needs to answer that question. what are you and some of the folks you are marching with want to hear from the president that you haven t heard? what can he do differently? what the president has done over two and a half years with the stimulus and other things probably kept unemployment from going higher. we want more of that, infrastructure development. there s a bill that congresswoman has called fast. we want to hear things like that. and we want him to challenge that committee that there is a line we must draw that we must have jobs. you can do whatever you want to cut, but do not put us in a position we cannot cut jobs and we do not extend unemployment insurance and extend the payroll tax cuts. i think that these are the
