Columbus holds COVID-friendly drive thru Christmas parade
Main Street Columbus presented 25 decorated cars to the town of Columbus for the Whoville Cruisin Christmas parade.

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WTVA) - Main Street Columbus held a drive-thru Christmas parade through the town on Saturday afternoon. We didn t want the Grinch to steal our Christmas, said the president of the board of Columbus Main Street, Shannon Bowen.
The organization normally puts on the Columbus Christmas parade each year, but as the world continues to change because of the pandemic, so did the parade.
“It’s the holiday’s and it’s been a rough enough year as it is, said Bowen. We don’t want to cancel everything.”
