Now that 2020 has come to an end, the Gaon Charts announced which release was the most successful of the year. As one of the major music charts in South Korea, it is considered a huge indicator of how popular a song was in the country. Recently, the charts released which idol songs accumulated the most points this year.
The song that accumulated the most points is Red Velvet s hit song, Psycho ! Though it was released in Dec. 2019, it has been considered an early 2020 release as it was released at the end of the year. The song earned 694 million points in 2020.
